FAQS

After the consult

It’s been 10 days and I still don’t have my approval - what do I do?

If it’s been longer than 10 days since your Telehealth consultation and your e-script still appears as pending, we advise you to contact us at info@cdaclinics.com.au. Sometimes there can be delays with the application approval which can elongate the process.

What happens after I'm approved by the TGA?

Once your prescribing doctor receives the TGA approval, they will remove the pending status from your e-prescription and send all relevant information to the chosen pharmacy. You can then place your order via the CanView app and contact your pharmacy to organise payment and collection or delivery.

Where does my prescription go?

During your consultation, the doctor will discuss which pharmacy the script will go to.

Does the approval process take longer in certain states?

The approval is dependant on which state the medical practitioner is practicing in. If the practitioner is applying for approval via the Special Access Scheme (SAS), it usually takes approximately 2 working days for them to receive correspondence from the TGA.

Will I need to book another appointment?

At the time of booking in your initial consultation, the Patient Care Team will book in your follow up consultation for six weeks later. Should you require a follow up consultation sooner than six weeks after your initial, please don’t hesitate to contact our team. There are patient cases that require a follow up sooner than 6 weeks, and if you are one of these patients, the clinician will discuss this with you in the appointment.

Can anybody pick up my prescription or collect/receive?

With proper identification, a person other than yourself can pick up the product on your behalf. However, it’s best to check with the dispensing pharmacy prior to collection.

How do I get my product?

Once your approval has been received by the pharmacy, you can either pick up your medicine or, alternatively, have it securely posted to you.

What do I do if I need a repeat prescription?

If you require a repeat prescription (and you don’t have any repeat prescriptions at the pharmacy), please contact our Patient Care Team at info@cdaclinics.com.au to book in a follow up appointment. Alternatively, you can call us at 1300 232 362.

What pharmacies do you dispense from?

We have a wide range of pharmacies within Australia that dispense alternative medicines to our CDA Clinics patients.
